Drawing influence from folk and indie rock, singer-songwriter Katie Dineen blends nostalgic lyricism with an organic, upbeat sound. Katie Dineen’s music lives somewhere between garden-pop and contemporary folk.
Music has always been an essential part of her life, but post pandemic, Katie began hosting a weekly open mic, which was her catalyst into songwriting. As her artisty deepened, her desire to cultivate a community around it took form in the Pensacola Songwriter Rounds, a monthly show series she’s been running since 2022.
Only five years into her career, Katie has shared the stage with artists like Sixpence None The Richer, Japanese Breakfast, Dashboard Confessional, Kevn Kinney, Eric Lindell, Sarah Lee Guthrie, Grayson Capps, and other seasoned musicians.
Her debut album This One’s For You (2024) is a mix of full-band and stripped-down, acoustic songs. This One's For You is meant to feel like a cup of coffee in the morning: an invitation to wake up, sit down and feel what's on the heart. This One’s For You invites the listener to slow down and notice the wildflowers, literally and metaphorically.
Recorded live-to-tape at Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, Mississippi, Katie’s sophomore album Simmer lives into its name. A nine-track record, Simmer is soup for a friend, disguised as an indie twang album. Simmer releases August 14th!
